Most Sustainable Corporates Of The World in 2015

BENGALURU: A company’s sustainability can simply be derived by the standards they live up to, right from the scratch. There are many indicators that define the company’s sustainability and credibility. Factors like employees management practices, revenue, ratio of CEO compensation to the average employee’s compensation, waste management, energy use and amount of waste generated from their productions also come into consideration.


There are hundreds of firms around the world but barely ten percent of them reach out to the majority markets. Popular magazine, Corporate Knights looks at companies around the world to determine which are getting the most out of their capital, maximizing employee performance, and making careful use of resources. World Economic Forum is the annual platform that showcases the top performing companies of the year. Forbes listed the best and here are some of our favorite companies which are among the list:


Biogen Idec:


Biodgen Idec is the American biotechnology company that makes treatments for Multiple Sclerosis and other autoimmune and neurodegenerative diseases,Biogen Idec is the world’s most sustainable company this year. It was rated with an overall score of 73.5 percent. Biogen is a biotechnology center that is committed to visionary science in pursuit of new therapies for various diseases and it is largely effective.


Allergan:


Allergan is second in the Global 100 most Sustainable corporations. U.S. Allergan Inc. is a multi-specialty health care company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing innovative pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices and over-the-counter consumer products. Allergan is in the list with 72.8 percent overall performance.

Adidas:


Adidas, the German maker of sports apparel and equipment comes in third in the list.AdidasAdidas revived the sports apparel industry with its exclusive and appropriate designs. The company received a perfect score for the ratio of revenue to carbon emissions. It’s overall score is a cent less than Biogen Idec—72.6 percent


Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW):


Germany’s pride BMW is of course on the list. It is one of the best companies around the world and also part of “German Big 3” luxury automakers along with Audi and Mercedes Benz. BMW is also the parent company of Rolls-Royce Motor. It has established a luxurious empire of its own in the Automobile World. With a total score of 69.2 percent, BMW stands sixth in the list of sustainable companies.


L’Oreal:


The ‘world leader in beauty’ has proved itself again. L’Oreal stands fourteen on the list. The company rules the world of personal products. L’Oreal scored an overall 66.8 percent. L’Oreal offers a wide variety of products starting from the very basic daily products to those essential for Fashion Weeks. L’Oreal has devoted its competencies solely to one business for over a century.


Marks and Spencer:


United Kingdom’s Multiline Retail Marks and Spencer is 16th on the list with an overall score of 66.6 percent. Founded in 1884 the company has grown up to a multinational company. The company is credited for not giving up on the quality and is lauded world over for trendy and updated designs. Marks and Spencer is the new entrant to the list.

Johnson and Johnson:


Johnson and Johnson is probably one of the best blessed companies in the world. The company’s products have nourished several generations of kids.johnson and johnson Johnson & Johnson is an American multinational medical devises, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods manufacturer founded in 1886. The company stands 18th in the list of most sustainable companies of 2015. It was given an overall score of 66.2 percent on basis of several indicators.


Unilever:


Number 22 on the list of most sustainable companies, Unilever proudly says that on any given day, two billion people use Unilever products to look good, feel good and get more out of life. Unilever started out as an Anglo-Dutch company that has strategically spread across various countries. Unilever’s mission was to improve the quality of life while doubling the business and it succeeded in every step taken.


Koninklijke Philips Electronics:


Another Dutch company that worked its way up to the stage of being one among the most sustainable companies— Koninklijke Philips Electronics is ranked 25th on the list. Philips is basically organized and focused in divisions like Healthcare, Consumer Lifestyle and Lighting. It is one of the largest electronic companies around the world and also the leading in the world.


Coca Cola:


Not just America’s but the world’s leading beverage products are sold through the vending machines throughout the world. It is produced by The Coca-Cola Company of Atlanta, Georgia, and is often referred to simply as Coke. Coke has become the part of a meal over time and is in a place that it would never loose in the near future.
